Demands and Purchasing Management creates a stock replenishment list for both purchasing and manufacturing processes. This list is updated when users open the Shortage form. The list includes tick boxes where a user can choose and confirm to proceed with the replenishment. Any selection automatically creates required Work or Purchase Orders.
In creating a replenishment list, AFPOD uses an algorithm comparable with Pull-Manufacturing methodology. With this method more emphasis is given to demands than forecasts.
